Jeans...

I will admit that I love jeans. I wear them everyday including to work. I used to dress up for work, but I work with snotty nosed, dirty children and we do lots of fun (and messy!) activities each day. Plus kickball in heels is just not a pretty sight.

Seeing as I wear jeans everyday, I have lots of pairs. I have pairs from Hydraulic, Steve and Barry's, Express, even Wal-Mart. If I find a jean I like, I just buy it.

Now, the problems with jeans:

  1. Length - seriously all people are not 6 ft tall. I am only 5ft tall. Let's be realistic.

  2. Price - are you kidding me - they are jeans. $75 for a pair of jeans - not for me!

  3. Rise - I used to love low rise jeans and hate the higher rises. Then comes some extra weight and the ever delightful muffin top! Or the good ol' plumber's crack. These are two things one should never see.

I am happy to say, I think I found a solution...

The Old Navy Sweetheart Jean

Our Classic-Rise sits naturally on your waist
Slightly more relaxed through hip and thigh
Flared leg
Scoop and coin pockets in front, patch pockets in back

I love these jeans, gone are the days of the muffin top and plumber's crack. I can happily and safely bend down again. I am also not constantly pulling my low rise jean up. My only complaints - the whole idea of classic rise sort of makes me feel old like soon I'll be sharing jeans with my mom... My other complaint - I got the short jeans and they are still inches too long. I see that Old Navy has a petite as well, but that whole 1/2 inch still won't do me much good.

Happy Jean Day (which in my world is everyday!!)

OMG! How funny! I just bought these same jeans on Saturday (for $12, I might add). I loved them on...they did cover the muffin top nicely. I got the flare because I didn't know they had a boot cut. My co-worker was at ON at the same time and she told me later that she got them in boot cut, so I am going to go back and possibly exchange mine. See, my co-worker loves them too! Yay!!
